Here is some extreme tuning performed on the Audi TT model, which looks awfully similar to the car in iRobot starring Will Smith. The smooth and curvy appeal of this car gives the impression of improved aerodynamics, however the drag coefficient of the body is relatively high at 0.35. It shows a front end similar to the Bugatti Veyron, while the wheel wells have been covered to match the iRobot movie car almost perfectly. This is definitely one of the most unique tuning jobs I’ve seen on any Audi car, who are now competing with some of the best on the automotive market, mainly BMW and Mercedes

The Porsche 911 Turbo is an amazing car, and from the factory comes with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine producing 500 PS and 651 Nm of torque. This power was plenty enough for the tuners at Vorsteiner, however they are well known to push cars to the limit in terms of exterior styling. For this project, the tuning company installed their own body kit to improve the aerodynamics, and gave this Porsche 911 its full potential. It consists of a custom front fascia featuring new air intakes, side skirts, new rear bumper, and diffuser underneath. A larger spoiler was swapped out with the stock piece, saving weight with the new carbon fiber design and providing extra downforce for all that power

Oakley body car Design Ferrari 458 Italia

The tuners at Oakley Design have released the updates for the Ferrari 458 Italia package that will increase the production to seven cars, instead of the previously planned five. High demand for this unique Ferrari car has pushed the tuning company to make a couple more, and each will hold an individual numbered plaque. A new carbon fiber front spoiler lip was installed, which increased the downforce by 25kg after some wind tunnel testing. A rear spoiler added an additional 23kg to the rear axle, and both of these test were completed at 150 mph. Other exterior modifications include the Oakley Design carbon fiber roof panel, mirror covers, and engine cover below the rear window glass.

Here is a new package released by Senner Tuning for the Nissan 370Z called the Asphalt Surfer. The exterior styling received minimal modifications, featuring a new set lightweight alloy Tsunami wheels and decals along the sides. These wheels are available in either a racing white or matte black finish, and measure to be 20×9 in the front, and 20×10 at the rear. Also improving the look is a new sport suspension package priced at 1,499 EUR to give the Nissan 370Z an aggressive stance. The German tuning firm moved onto the engine bay next, and hooked the car up with an extensive upgrade program under the hood

Check out this sport car concept from Lotus, scheduled to go into production around 2013, the Lotus Elan turned many heads at the Paris Motor Show. It comes as a two-seater with optional 2+2, a mid engine car with a rear wheel drive go kart handling experience. In the engine bay is a 4.0-liter V6 with optional KERS regenerative braking technology, producing up to 450 hp and 465 Nm of torque. Although a bit slower than the Lotus Esprit or Elite, the 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 3.5 seconds is impressive, as well as the top speed of 310 km/h, while only weighing 1,295 kg. Customers can expect deliveries around the Autumn of 2013 with a price tag £ 75,000 (€ 87,000)

Do you see that blower coming out the hood! This black matted monster boasts an amazing masculine widebody kit to go along with the 8.3-liter V8 HEMI. Additionally, this mean looking muscle car spotlights the highly aggressive red front lights, CULT stickers, larger wheels and brakes, and of course the supercharger that almost reaches the sky. The Mercedes McLaren SLR is a stunning car, and running across one of the special 722 Editions these days is like finding a needle in a hay stack. However, it gets better because this unique McLaren has been celebrity owned by the one and only basketball legend Michael Jordan. It is now being auctioned on eBay for a hefty price, but the car still has less than 1,000 miles! It received several modifications including 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels, modified suspension, stiffer damper setup, and 10 mm lower ride height.

Next year we should see the birth of the Gillet Vertigo .5 Spirit, a supercar with amazing styling and Belgian roots. The looks will not be changed much, and the best mod can be found under the hood. The current Alfa Romeo V6 engine will be swapped out with a 4.2-liter V8 from Maserati. Resulting in 420 bhp through the six-speed sequential gearbox to the rear wheels. Now that may not sound like a lot of power, but when you match it up to the Gillet Vertigo that only weighs 990 kg with its carbon fiber design, you have a power to weight ratio matching some of the best exotics out there. However, this is still the factory Maserati engine, and extra tuning can be performed if needed.

The TunerWorks Canadian based supercar tuning company and distributor of high end packages from Brabus, Hamann, Renntech, and Veilside, have released this custom Ford GT. Not much work was performed on this car, and details are limited, however the main addition we see are the ADV1 wheels. There have been several releases so far for the SEMA Show starting this week, but this particular tuning project caught my eye and is based on the Hyundai Equus. This DUB Edition Hyundai looks like a luxury car that could be worth hundreds of thousands, however under all the customizations it is still an affordable Hyundai Equus. It sports a stunning exterior, interior, and even audio modifications from the well-known and exclusive DUB Magazine. The president and co-founder, Myles Kovacs said, “We know that SEMA show-goers look forward to seeing the cool new cars like Equus and the unique ways we customize them. With this car we tried to give tuners an idea of what modifications can be done within the luxury segment.”

The American tuning firm Misha Designs has recently released a widebody package for the Mercedes SL. Including several new aero parts, the package consists of a new front bumper, carbon fiber lower lip spoiler, cf diffuser, and trunk spoiler. These improved the aerodynamics, while the guys at Misha decided to make the car wider to look more like the Mercedes-Benz AMG Black Series. This was accomplished with new fenders and widening the quarter panels to merge with the wheel arches. Also, a new bonnet is used in this kit along with carbon fiber vents found in the hood and rear bumper

The car manufacturers from Chevrolet have brought a trio of test cars for their new Z-Spec line of aftermarket accessories for the Chevy Volt, Cruze, and Spark models. The first teaser is with the concept version of the all-new Volt electric car. Sure, an electric vehicle is not a typical tuning project, however that doesn’t mean it can’t look good with a body kit, blacked-out trim, and a new wheel package. The Chevy Volt also received a new sports steering wheel, leather wrapped Recaro seats, and racing foot pedals. This new Z-Spec lineup is being showcased on the three small cars; the Volt, Cruze, and Spark right now, but in the future Chevrolet plans to offer the whole line to all models. body painting car RENNtech Mercedes C63 AMG Akrapovic Exaust System

Previously, the Florida tuners from RENNtech released the C74 kit for the Mercedes C63 AMG, and now they offer a full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system for the car. While the Mercedes looks great with the DTM-racecar-inspired body kit, the tuning firm wasn’t as satisfied with the stock exhaust sound. So they installed the Akrapovic unit which lightens the car by 43 lbs, and adds 12 extra horspower with 16 lb-ft of torque. I can’t say the exhaust note is something others will desire however, since it sort of sounds like the car could use some Gas-X. body car Startech Land Rover Defender 90 Yacht Edition

Spotted on the Essen Motor Show floors is this Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition, put together by the Brabus affiliate Startech. Painted in a bright white color, this off-road capable SUV rides on 16-inch alloy rims wrapped in high performance tires. Adding extra style to the 4×4 Land Rover are new running boards with integrated entrance lights, a SVX grille, and white headlight covers. No blacking out of the exterior is seen here, since it is supposed to resemble a yacht, the Land Rover Defender 90 was decked out with white and wood accents throughout. The nautical themed cabin received most of the expensive modifications.

Here is a tuned version of the Ariel Atom 3 from the guys at Wimmer RS. You may already know that the company who makes the Ariel Atom is now offering a 500 hp V8 version, but to be honest, that is too much power for this lightweight car. So, Wimmer RS came to play with an upgrade package capable of squeezing an extra 40 hp out of the 4-cylinder Civic engine that produces 300 horsepower stock. Included in the kit is a new engine optimization software, compressor overhaul, fuel pump conversion, and a high performance exhaust system put together by Rennkat. Results are 340 hp and 282 Nm of torque from this Ariel Atom 3 that only weighs 469 kg. Driving this go-kart-like car is blast, and the track numbers prove it with a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 2.8 seconds

The tuning pros at Brabus have customized the Mercedes SLS AMG with a wide-body version called the Widestar. Modifications include a new carbon fiber body kit consisting of a front spoiler, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser, along with wider body panels and fenders featuring air intakes and side outlets. The rear was widened 20 mm from these customizations, and Brabus added some lightweight wheels next. Their Monoblock F Platinum Edition rims to be exact, measuring 20×9.5 in the front, and 21×11 at the rear. They come wrapped in either Pirelli or Yokohama high performance tires, and the wheels are available in a brushed design or ceramics polished surface, as well as any color of your choice.

Last weekend I was driving on the highway and got my first chance to witness a Nissan GT-R in action. The guy driving the godzilla Nissan flew by my truck going atleast 120+ mph and the only way I could tell it was the new GT-R was from the taillights since it was dark outside. The way it shook the ground and rattled my truck as it zoomed by makes me want to take out a loan for one tomorrow, and these official track numbers from Nissan sound promising. At the Sendai Hi-land Race Way, the 2012 Nissan GTR 0-100 km/h acceleration time was tested, and did not disappoint. It wasn’t able to break the 3 second mark, however was spot on 3.0 seconds. Considering this was a factory standard edition shows the true potential of these AWD cars.

The Solingen-based tuning experts from Wimmer have released their latest masterpiece based on the Porsche GT2 RS. This is the most powerful Porsche production car yet, and still weighs less than the original GT2. Exterior styling was left untouched, while the Wimmer tuners optimized the performance parts of the two turbos, air intake, throttle valve, and new sport air filter. Another highlight from this Porsche GT2 RS is the addition of a valve-controlled sport exhaust system with high performance catalysts to give it the thrust and sound it deserves. With these aftermarket parts installed, the custom Wimmer monster now produces 703 horsepower and 810 Nm of torque. At the track its top speed was 356 km/h, while the acceleration time was recorded at 3.3 seconds flat.

AMS Mitsubishi Evo X 900X body car

Now this is a tuned Evo X! Built by the tuners at AMS, the Mitsubishi Evo X 900X is powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with a variety of high performance modifications. The turbo kit on this Evo X consists of GT900X V-band and features a Tial 44mm wastegate, Racing Series exhaust system, and Tial Alpha QR blow off valve. Internals were replaced with Spec JE pistons, Kelford cams, Manley I-Beam rods, upgraded valve springs, and new head studs. A new intercooler system was installed along with a 800 hp fuel system. Aerodynamics were improved with some carbon fiber aftermarket parts, and the AMS Evo X 900X also has an upgraded braking system and suspension. Check out the video after the jump

Up for sale at Pistonheads is the Bugatti EB 110 GT, and it was the last car built out of the 95 total ever made. It’s an American car being sold with Canepa designs and located in California. The custom build included a special formula black metallic paint finish, and a full tan leather interior with navy accents. Completed in 1995, this Bugatti EB 110 GT only has 939 miles and kept its showroom finish. Back in the good ol’ days, what made these rare Bugatti sports car so unique was the quad-turbocharged 3.5-liter V12 engine producing 550 bhp. At the track they were able to accomplish 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, with an overall top speed of 344 km/h.

body car BMW i8 Official Name for Vision EfficientDynamics

Over a year ago BMW announced the concept of the Vision EfficientDyanmics hybrid car, and have now confirmed the production and official name to be the BMW i8. Planned for a 2013 launch, the “i” comes from BMW’s Project i, while the 8 probably refers to the classic BMW sports car 850ci. The sales and marketing director at BMW, Ian Roberson said the new supercar will “redefine the looks of modern supercars”. It was also stated that the price for the BMW i8 will be around $200,000 USD, which is much less than the direct competitor Mercedes SLS E-Cell. Stay tuned for future announcements from BMW regarding their hybrid technology and supercar plans

The tuners from AMS Performance have put together the ultimate package so far for the Nissan GT-R called the Alpha 9. Coming close to many of the Bugatti Veyron’s world records, the new GT-R kit catapults the stock 530 horsepower to an amazing 800 crank hp with a few major upgrades. These include new billet wheel ball bearing turbos, new turbo inlet pipes, a larger front mount intercooler, 90 mm exhaust system, custom calibrated MAF sensors, and new ECU tuning to keep everything running smooth. The Nissan GT-R is now able to run the 1/4 mile in 9.95 seconds seconds at 141 mph, which set a new pump gas R35 GTR quarter mile record. Pricing for this package starts at $21,999 USD, however we are sure they will continue to improve it to eventually push close to 1,000 horsepower, and beat all the current Bugatti records at a fraction of the cost

JE Design Audi Q7 Street Rocket body car

“Street Rocket” is an elegant sport car created by JE Design by mixing their special “Red Rocket” body paint with the Audi Q7 “Street Sport” aerodynamic kit. The new body kit has new front and rear bumpers and side skirts that make this car look really aggressive. The guys from JE Design installed 22″ rims that are equipped with sport tires and the car’s interior has a lot of carbon fiber insertions and everything is covered with red and white leather. The car’s performances were also improved a lot and now the 3.0 TDI engine can develop 285 HP and 550 Nm. Thanks to this power boost this Audi Q7 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds. The maximum speed is also bigger now and the car can reach a maximum speed of 219 km/h

The German car tuning specialists from AVUS Performance have tuned the Audi Q7 this time, and they added several unique features. AVUS set it up with an air suspension that can be adjusted electronically to raise or lower the SUV. This air suspension offers one of the smoothest and best handling rides around, and it can lower the vehicle up to 90 mm. This Audi Q7 comes with a 4.2-liter V8 TDI diesel engine, and with some minor ECU tuning, AVUS was able increase the power to 365 hp and 880 Nm of torque. With those numbers, the Q7 can sprint from 0-60 mph in 6 seconds while reaching a top speed of 245 km/h.

The latest body kit package for the 2010 Audi Q7 comes from the car tuning firm Caratere, and they gave the new Audi a complete facelift. This new body kit adds a much more aggressive and stylish look to the car from the former Audi Q7, however it is also available for the older models. The Caractere Audi Q7 body kit includes a new front bumper, front grille, and is integrated with the stock fog lights. In the rear of the vehicle is a spoiler with left and right tips for the cars with or without a tow bar. All body parts are made from PURim and the body kit even consists of a set of wheel arch extensions to make the car look wider. A roof spoiler was installed to add an extra touch, and Caractere also offers CW1 wheels, available in either 20″ or 22″.
