Body Paint Car - QwickStep

Body Paint Car - QwickStep

There are many different things that could cause you to go shopping for auto body paint repair services. One of these is the effect of age on a car's paint work: where the paint work almost inevitably tends to get worn out with the passage of time. Then there is the effect of dents and scratches, even on an absolutely new car which could see you having to find someone the repair the body paint work. You could also find yourself looking for car body paint work repairs if you are considering selling your car; in a bid to increase its apparent worth and in turn, its resale value. Yet another reason you could be looking for auto body paint repair services is simply to improve your car's aesthetics, for it is often said that a car's image is a reflection of its owner.

Now there are some important considerations you need to make, even as you shop for car body paint work repair services. The first of these is the cost factor. Do not expect car body paint work repair services to come cheap. They tend to be quite expensive, so that you would probably be look at a minimum of two hundred bucks, for the smallest of repairs. For larger jobs (like where you want the whole car to be repainted), or for specialized jobs (where you want higher quality results), the costs can be significantly higher.

The scope of the auto body paint repair service required is also an important consideration; one which goes a long way in determining the ultimate cost and time frame for the project. Obviously, if you are looking to change your car's color completely, you will not expect the project to take as long as it would if you were looking to have a few spots here and there repainted.

The current state of your car, like whether it is relatively good looking or whether it looks like a collector's item is likely to be another major consideration in this matter; which goes a long way towards determining the cost and time frame for the auto body paint repair project. The people you choose to partner with for your car body paint repair project can also make a great difference. In this regard, there is a tendency to favor the bigger companies over the smaller ones; since the costs per unit for the bigger service providers tend to be lower.

From all this, it becomes clear that one needs to undertake a bit of research and have a basic understanding of the whole auto body paint repair services business before going shopping for the services in question. But with the very huge wealth of information the Internet has brought (literally) up to our fingertips, this sort of research should not be too hard. Ideally, this research should be supplemented by consultation with a professional, who can advise you on the type of service you really need for your car and where to get it cost effectively

Promotional corporate bodypainting

Promotional corporate bodypainting

Major Beverage Manufacturers are getting creative and are body painting attractive promo girls to boost their sales. Painting their brand's logo on a sexy promo girls body has been boosting their brand's image like no other marketing tool ever used.

Miller lite Girls are getting their bodies painted and getting more attention for the Miller lite brand than ever before. Have you happened to see how beautiful a girl looks after she has had her body painted?

Body Painting an attractive promo girl with a hot body is able to stand out among all the advertising noise in the market place. Marketing companies are getting creative by painting their logos on a girls breast to grab the attention of the beverage manufacturers targeted audience.

Beverage Manufacturers have to pocket out $1000 minimum to get a great body paint artist to paint their promo girls. I had 2 Miller lite girls at Dinah shores in Palm Springs and they had their bodies painted to resemble a Miller lite body. The art work was amazing and not to mention the girls bodies really made the body paint artist look really good.

The Miller lite promo girls received $300 per hour for this one weekend event. I have since seen many companies use hot body painted models to gain the attention of their consumers whether at a car show, trade show or a new club grand opening.

These Beverage manufacturers are budgeting millions of dollars towards this type of advertising.

They see the return on investment as an unmeasurable success. I did a casting in Hollywood for 4 girls to get their bodies painted for a major liquor and I had over 200 girls show up. The amount of beautiful girls in Hollywood that wanted to have their bodies painted was astounding. I even had girls that wanted to get their bodies painted for free.

If you would like the opportunity to have your body painted for a major liquor company and make up to $300 per hour, you must have a great body and be willing to expose your body to a crowd or people

Body painting Car Volkswagen

Body painting Car Volkswagen

Buying a classic Volkswagen can be a daunting task if you are not so sure what to look for in terms of quality. Many people purchase the classic Volkswagen Beetle along with other Volkswagen guilty pleasures such as the Thing and the Bus. But the first thing you need to figure out is how much work you are willing to put in to keep the car up and running. Whether you are looking for a classic that requires minimal work or a project car there are a few things you should consider before purchasing one of these classic VWs.

When you go out with the intention of buying a classic Volkswagen be prepared to take a flashlight, paper and pencil, and even a towel so you can inspect underneath the vehicle. Another thing you should be prepared for are the prices if you are looking for a project vehicle then you can find tons of classic models for under 3,000 dollars. I was able to pick up my own 71 VW convertible super beetle for 3,500. However, if you want a car that runs and looks sharp then be prepared to spend up to 20k or even more!

You can find many places online that sell all types of classic Volkswagens. The samba is my favorite site for looking at used VWs. You can also go to your local auctions to see what they have available but the main thing to do is never purchase your vehicle without looking at it in person first. Once you get to the location of the vehicle make sure you inspect it up and down to see if it is in the condition you're looking for. You should avoid inspecting the car in dim light even if you have a flashlight because you will probably still miss some signs of rusts or dents.

Once you are inspecting the vehicle ask yourself "What needs to be done" and "How much is it going to cost me". Generally small mechanical problems are cheaper than actual paint and body frame issues. While you are there take out all the tools you need and thoroughly inspect the vehicle in and out. Many people get worried when they notice a car has engine problems but it is easier and cheaper to fix an engine then to work out rust and body issues. Look closely at the heater channels and the floorpans. If they have rust on them expect to pay around $2500-$3000 to have it repaired. Generally when the heater channel is rusted the floor pan isn't far behind, so replacing both of them at the same time is a good idea. What you might think is a little rust can end up turning into hours or days of welding while you watch your money quickly slip from your wallet. The rust is actually the biggest problem you will find in an old classic Volkswagen. Surface rust is ok and can be fixed with sanding. Its the rust under the paint that you want to look for. This is noticeable by small bubbles behind the paint. The problem is you won't really know how much damage is done until you start sanding, if the rust is already eating away at the body then it needs to be fully replaced.

The bottom line is that you don't want to settle for the first classic Volkswagen you find whether it's a Beetle, Bus, or Thing. You have to keep in mind that many old parts are hard to find so try to find a classic that has complete parts and that is fixable. You also need to take into account the year and the model to see how popular it was. The least popular it was the harder it will be to find parts. If you search around for awhile you will be able to find the right classic Volkswagen that suits your needs and is restorable.

Woman Body Painting With Classic Car, color combination is perfect

Life is first of all a Boot Camp. Exercise. Following Orders. Doing what your supposed to do to avoid getting yelled at. Smiling because you have discovered it works. Not smiling at hateful people who don't like smiling, and learning that over and over again. Learning how to drive, ride bicycles. Remember run and walk? Probably not. But life in all of its magnificence and in its "mundaneness" happens through the matrix of repetition. Athletic prowess and plowing fields and petting your dog and affectionately loving your fondest one.

Serotonin Starts Building When You Walk

Life is a Boot Camp. But mainly it is a friendly one. However, if you don't learn to keep the rules, stay inside the lines, show up at the right time, do what you said you would do and pay your bills -- you will suffer in an extraordinary number of ways. Life is a Boot Camp, but the intention is to produce Divine Marines. The whole thing is designed FOR you. They say that Serotonin (the ultra feel good neurotransmitter) starts building in your body when you walk. Nature itself is telling you to move. Nature is saying: "Move, you will be happy." You as a Marine of any number of possible ranks, because of the repetition of boot camp will enjoy that wonderful Pauline phrase: "afterwords - the peaceable fruits of righteousness". So -- the big point: Boot Camp is good for you!!

The Young One

The Repetition of Boot Camp constitutes the structure and the structuring of life. But life is so intriguingly wonderful, other than being repetitious, we should never focus too much on the Boot Camp part. When you watch a baby trying to walk. And it falls so many times you can't count them all. You stop and stare into their eyes. Their eyes are alive with sparkling expectation. Unless they are actually hurting, they will just keep on keeping on. And then that moment happens and their steps turn into piston-firing marches all over the back yard.

The Old One

And then when you see an octagenarian plodding through each step, fighting the arthritis that asks them just to quit, you see the beauty and magnificence of keeping on and the ultimate power that lies deep in the human soul which states -- "If I can keep on, then I am not dead". And then the step-by-step, it does not discourage itself it states: "If I keep on, then I am declaring my inner power!"

Beauty

The "Beauty" part of life is nature, sure. Walk around every day and try to soak in the fact that there is not a view off of this planet like the one you are seeing for so many light years, they can't be named or understood. Because we don't know where the next earth is, we can suspend ourselves in absolute wonder over the splendiferous surroundings. The human beauty we can all experience is not for the distorted fantasy-driven, addled mind, beauty is what you see in all your friends, loved ones, relatives and others. Beauty is what your mind should observe as it etches itself around the canvas of our vast brains.

Yes, when you see a poster of a young Marilyn Monroe, it is easy to be swept up in life's classic forms. The woman is astounding because they can do all that they do physically, AND have estrogen and be utterly functionally equipped to do all that life throws their way. And the beauty of the male can be summed up in a sculpture of David, or just appreciated as a young athlete speeds across a field, free of any of life's worries as the wind bounces his locks in free abandon.

It is so easy to intermix sex and romance with beauty and it surely is true that they are inextricably knit together. But if we were all sexless and sterile, beauty would still be beauty. Remember that all of earth's beautiful wonders are down here for us. Beauty is made for us, decided by us, and spun through the weave of our eyes' complexity. It is truly one of the things that makes life what it is, and we should know that "ugliness" manifests itself usually where destruction and evil have trampled the scene. Beauty therefore becomes a flag, an announcement, a song, that says life is working out well here.

The Bong

This word begins with a "B", and the intention is to sum up sensuality in all of its many forms. The Bong is our pronouncement that we were given a carousel of sensors that wire us in such a fashion that we can feel the passing of a tiny breeze, the sound of a fruitfly, the drunken feeling of so many diverse substances that it you would need an encyclopedia.

Before you get your legal sensibilities all in a flight, or your hedonistic impulses burning, stop for a minute and say to yourself. "On the one hand, one should not consume all that lies under the South American canopy" --- but there is more in "heaven and earth than is dreamed of in our philosophy" as Shakespeare said. This is a delicate topic because of crime and politics and probably the most controversial of the "Life is" topics, but that controversy itself tells us that there is much complexity in us, much of it we gloss over, much of it we moralize over, much of it we paint over, much of it we obscure. Very little of this broad topic falls under quiet consideration and we can just leave it at that.

Ceremony's Sake

Perhaps the best way to comment on the "drug" question and the "substance" question is to observe that many things in ancient history were used in ceremonial situations. Today, we tend to mass produce, mass consume and become utterly spent because we "take it to the limit" when it should be sniffed or sipped. That is a comment on our Age as much as it is a comment on the "Substances". I know one individual who drinks several glasses of tequila on certain occasions. He calls it his ceremonial drink. He never drives after these occasions and goes at it with a near reverence. He only does this about two or three times a year.

The "Bong" of life is a big biological challenge too. Many of these substances are harmless at one level and downright killing at other levels. Then there are tobacco and poppy that have been the scourge of the species. Again, these problems tell us more about ourselves than the substances do. "Many a slip between tongue and lip" is an old folk saying because it shows us the dangerous probabilities that lie at our door constantly. Danger, danger and more danger sit right next to serene, consciousness-altering gentle inebriation. Life is definitely scary in this regard. It should make us more reverent, but somehow it tends not to.

The Beach

The Setting. Ah, yes WHERE we do our living has so much to do with what life is. Being able to have a "roof over our heads" and get the basic pleasures of life is such a precious goal. It makes life what we dream about. Turning over in our sheets and kissing the one we love. Napping on a sun-soaked beach, screaming madly at a ball game, chatting around a table at a bar, or asking for God's blessing around a massive Thanksgiving table, all become the "beach" of our lives. In poorer countries, homes are built of tin and leaves, and concrete bricks and scrap wood. Not to compare structures, but the "beach" tells us that a happy family can live in very small cube, and a howling angry couple can echo their epithets in a 10,000 square foot castle. "Here on earth have we not continuing place", as is declared in the Book of Hebrews, and this saying does make us be grateful for the homes and houses that we do have

Chevy Camaro Project Car Paint Job - The Sti Killer

Chevy Camaro Project Car Paint Job - The Sti Killer

OK boys and girls, I'm going to chat about cutting and buffing the paint job on your car, this subject is touchy with a lot of people, who think that this step in unnecessary, and this would of course depend on what you want the car to look like when it's completed, a cut and buffed paint job looks completely different from a non cut and buffed paint job, and yes there is a significant risk to your paint job if the person who's doing the cutting and buffing has no experience with the process, it can devastate your new paint job, and you don't need to re-paint your car, so be sure that they know what they are doing.

The first step after you pull the car out of the paint booth should be to unmask it, and then I suggest re-masking the car with clean masking paper, but you don't really need to do this if you don't want to, cleaning the buffing compound off of the car will be a lot harder if you don't mask it again, it just kind of depends on were you want to spend your time, in my opinion it should always be done.

Now that we have that out of the way, before yo mask the car you should wash it, and then blow it off with compressed air to remove the excess water, the car can't be clean enough before you do this step, now before I explain to you the process of cutting and buffing, I'm going to explain the draw backs of cutting and buffing the car, the reasons why a lot of people don't like to do it.

1. The potential to damage your new paint job, there are two big reasons why some people shy away from this step, the first reason is that an inexperienced person color sanding the car may go through the clear coat of the paint and in to the color coat, and this means a paint repair on that area where they went through, or a total re-paint of the car "Not Good", the second reason would be that if they don't go through the base coat of the paint there is a chance that the buffer can burn the paint job, when I was learning, I had both of these things happen to me, and neither one of them are fun to fix.

2. Is the extra time that it takes to do the cutting and buffing of the car, this can be up to 20 hours of added time, if your one of those people who is always in a hurry, then it's obvious why you'd hate this process, you absolutely cannot be in a hurry, or those bead things that I talked about earlier with without a doubt happen.

The reason why I like the paint job cut and buffed is for the look, it looks completely different from a non-buffed car, the non-buffed car will look great, don't get me wrong here, it will have a factory looking paint job, with an ultra shine, and it will be absolutely brilliant in the sun light, but will appear that the color is on top of the paint job, as where a buffed car will look deep, like you could stick your hand in the paint and swirl it around, the decision is all yours, but I will say that if you decide to cut and buff the car, make 100% sure that the people doing the work know what they are doing.

Look at some of their work to determine if you want this done, there are a lot of shops that have this down to a science, and you don't need to worry at all if you find the right people, that being said, this is not a step that I think a beginner should attempt, although I'm about to explain the process, if you feel confident, then go ahead and give it a try.

The Color Sanding Process:

After the car has been re-masked, you should get a bucket with water and dish soap in it, or if you feel more at home using a spray bottle load it with water and dish soap also, and then your going to want to have some 1000 grit wet sand paper to start with, and you'll be working up to 2000 grit by the time this process is done, first you'll need to spray the car down with water, and it does not matter where you start to color sand the car, it's just where you feel comfortable starting from, this is a long process, so don't get in a hurry, if you do it will be at the expense of you new paint job, OK now you'll want to have a decent selection of sanding blocks, a cut and buff is designed to create a smooth appearance over the entire surface of the car, and if it's done right it does a very good job of that.

Now that you have sprayed the car down with water load up your 1000 grit wet sand paper on a sanding block, I usually use a 6" hard flat block on the large flat surfaces of the car, you never want to sand or buff the crown of any panel on your car, I use a 6" round hard rubber block in the curved areas on the panels, at the first it will look as if it's not doing anything, but take my word it is smoothing the clear coat on your car, when you color sand you clear coat you need to pay serious attention to what you are doing, cutting and buffing will remove any dust or runs from you paint job and smooth the surface to a brilliant deep shine.

When you start to sand the car, if your using a spray bottle you'll spray some of the contents from the bottle on to your painted surface, and then you'll begin to sand the clear coat with 1000 grit wet paper, make sure that you sand only in one direction, as it will be easier to buff out in the end, do not press hard on the block, let the sand paper do the work, and if you hear a squeaking sound stop now, and run some water over your sanding block and the surface of the car, a squeaking sound means that you have a piece of balled up clear coat under the block, or dirt, in either case, you do not want it there so clean the block and surface of the car.

When your sanding your paint with the 1000 grit paper, your looking for the entire surface of the car to have a smooth and dull appearance, remember that you still have to sand the clear coat with 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper, so it does not need to be perfect at this stage of the game, just make sure that you've sanded the entire surface of the car before you move on to the next stage.

Now you'll repeat the same process with 1500 grit wet paper, and then 2000 grit wet paper, after you have done this, you done color sanding or cutting the clear coat, during this process yo don't ever want to see the color of your base coat on the sanding block, this means that you have gone through the clear coat, so pay attention to what you are doing.

The Buffing Process:

Now that the cutting or color sanding process is complete on your car, you'll want to wash all the wet sanding residue from the car, wet sanding will leave a with powder type residue on the car, and you don't want to put the buffer to this residue, so make sure that you wash the entire car again before you get started with the buffer.

Now let's get the buffer out and set the speed to about 800 rpm or medium speed on the speed selector, this may seem a bit slow, but you have less of a chance of burning the paint job with it set at a lower speed, and you can use water to help cool the paint as you buff the car if you want to, you'll be starting with a heavy buffing compound and working all the way down to a swirl remover, yet another long process.

Get you courage up and your patience, and get ready to dive in head first, there is no changing your mind now.

Now put a little dab of the heavy cutting compound on the surface of the car where you want to start buffing the paint, and also I almost forgot, this needs to be done inside a garage, the sun will cause big problem with this process, what your going to do is put a wool pad on the buffer, and then pull the buffer trigger and begin to buff the heavy cutting compound off of the car, you'll notice it starting to bring the shine up on the surface of the paint, when you run out of the heavy compound on the surface just keep adding more and moving in slow circular motions until the entire surface is buffed with the heavy compound.

You'll repeat this process with medium cutting compound, and then light compound, and last but not least swirl remover.

When you change compounds you'll want to have the appropriate foam pads for each step in the process, and make sure that you clean all the pads as they will get clogged with compound, you can can a pad cleaning tool from your local auto paint retailer

auto paint car body filler putty. YT-333 filler: 1

For instance, a cracked or leaking window, a door does not close properly, the car's fender was attacked by the garage, the car was whacked by a rock or a boulder or the interior has a tear or a cigarette burn. These and many others body and paint problems can be fixed by DIY style.

Tips for Your Car
- Here are some tips and guidelines for troubleshooting paint problems and automotive body;
- If the car was parked overnight in a violent neighborhood, it would probably need paint and body works.
- Prior to spending huge amount on a new paint, a little money can be spent on cleaners, polishes and rubbing compound just for seeing if grease are of any help to solve the problem.
- Anti-rust products such as naval jelly are really useful for removing and stopping rust. The manufacturer's recommendations can be followed.
- The auto parts dealer has a lot of aftermarket car care products which are designed to give a good look to the car. In such cases, they can be availed and used on the car to give it a better look.

Knowing the kind of a Crack
Car windows are really superb. They are helpful in seeing ahead without the wind mussing your hair. They also keep the rain and snow from getting in the car. So the question is what one can do if the car window is leaked or cracked. They can be easily repaired by using products that can be bought auto parts dealers and even many super stores. Depending on what is being intended to be done, there also might be a need for one or two glass suction cups for lifting and positioning larger glass pieces.

For repairing a car window with simple tools, these simple steps can be followed:

1. First, the damage to the window has to be identified. In case it's a small crack or chip, it can be repaired by using an automotive window repair kit. It is possible then the damage can be checked over a few days to know if it's even or if it's spreading. In case its spreading, then the repair kit might not be able to help in stopping the spread. A new glass would be required.

2. For repairing the glass, the instructions on the package of different window repair kits should be read. Some are for chips, some for cracks while others are for both. Look for the one that seems best to solve the problem. The manufacturer's instructions can be followed. Some kits require the removal of rough corners from the chip, installing the retaining cup and then installing the filler into the chip. In case of glass scratches, a glass abrasive and cleaner can be applied, it is available from bigger auto retailers or glass shops.

3. For replacing the glass, it has to be figured first how it will be taken out. Even though it is shattered into countless pieces, the glass would have to be removed from the edges before installing a new one. For a door glass, the door panel has to be removed to access the mechanism that moves the window up and down. The glass is attached below. The front and rear window glass requires the trim and the rubber gasket to be removed. The rubber gasket has to be replaced with a new one as the new one is installed. The car manual will be of help for removing and replacing the glass.

4. For repairing a leaking window gasket, pour water on it for identifying how it is getting it. If it is penetrating through the gasket, a putty knife can be used to lift the gasket away from the glass and a little window sealer can be applied. The excess can be cleaned and dried and then retest and repeat as required.

Sagging Doors gives an Old Look to the Car
Few things are more frustrating than standing by the car door in rain and banging it close tightly.

For adjusting doors using the car care toolbox, follow the simple steps below:

1. Look for the door sag. Open the door and close it slowly just stopping as it is about to touch the latch. In case the door is too high or too low for the opening then lift the door from the bottom below the handle. In case the door moves too much before it moves, then open the door completely and check the hinges for loose bolts or noticeable movement in hinges. For moving the door up, down, forward and backward, the hinge bolts on the body has to be slightly loosen, the door has to be moved to the correct position and then the bolts have to be tightened. For moving the door in and out, the hinge bolts on the door has to be slightly loosened, the door has to be moved to the correct position and then the bolts have to be tightened.

2. Once the door the correctly aligned, the door latching has to be checked. The door has to be carefully closed to see how it catches. Either the latch or striker bolt on the door can be adjusted. By opening and closing the door carefully few times, it can be estimated how much adjustment is needed. For guidance, the relative positions of the latch and striker on the opposite door can be checked. Once the door is adjusted, small changes can be done in the alignment by adjusting the screws at the bottom and top but not both of them at the same time. Once the door latches well, the screws can be tightened well so that the latch stays in alignment.

3. The rubber seal around the door can be inspected for presence of cracks

Un-Denting Unavoidable Dents
Here is what one can do to remove body dents. Some specialized body tools might be needed for the following job. Follow these steps:

Look closely to observe the nature of the scratch, in case of deep damage, some metals might have to be moved.

Tools for body repair can be bought form an auto retailer. They can be slide, pick and bumping hammers, and a variety of dolleys.

To hammer a dent, hold the dolley on the back side of the dent and bang on the front side with hammer.

For pulling out a dent, a hole has to be drilled, screw the slide hammer into the hole and move the handle back and forth for pulling it out.

For filling holes and finishing the repairing dent, a grinder or file can be used for removing the paint from that part and then filler can be used to shape. Filler can be of plastic or lead, the brand name of a popular plastic filler product is called Banda.

Permanent Makeup
Once everything is done, you can choose your desired color to give your car a good makeup. Sprays and paint cans can be used for this purpose, they can be easily bought from the market and easily used on the car.
